From 22 to 25 September 2005, the Fortezza da Basso hosts the 13th edition of Country Life, the most important event in the country to live, which for the first time arrives in Florence, a city synonymous with excellence in the past and present. Ideal stage for an event that celebrates the authentic values of tradition, outdoor living, crafts quality.
Country Life was founded ten years ago in Modena, the idea of the entrepreneur Giancarlo Fabbi, nicknamed “Mister Country”, to turn into an event that has always been his way of life.
The charm and beauty of the exhibition lies not only in quality of products selected for the most important trade show in the country to live, but also the desire of the organizers to celebrate the values of healthy living and natural, that of an already distant past, … but perhaps not yet lost much of its success is due to the fact that the simplicity of rural life today is considered an effective remedy for the swirling rhythms of the city. Why “Country Life” is the taste of small, important things related to tradition, the rediscovery of rhythm finally able to live with humans, in which to carve out space and time to discover creative, gourmet connoisseurs.
Tell us the pleasure of living on a human dimension in comfortable, accurate, in which tradition emerges in detail, in furnishings, apparel, objects decorated by hand, natural food, discover the tastes and sensations always more difficult to prove in the rush and routine of everyday life.
This edition includes some interesting events: Etiquette Made in celebrating the elective affinities between craft and nobility by presenting masterpieces crafted by skilled hands who wanted to tell stories of famous families of ancient dynasties, love, passion and tradition, choice of style and of life, affecting in wood, bronze and gold, to deliver the tradition. Within this initiative will be exhibited for the first time the Mona Lisa Collection, artistic interpretation of the famous painting by Leonardo da parted stylists and designers of international renown, including Krizia, Elio Fiorucci, Alessandro Mendini. Each artist has interpreted the look of the Mona Lisa under its inspiration, enriched with new meanings and interpretations of art and presenting it from time to time in a new guise. Royalty is the title of the exhibition of wreaths Nicola Bolla, original and ironic artist of Piedmont, whose work stems from a strong passion for collecting which leads him to create a parallel reality made of symbolic objects from an inventory fantastic.
Cavaniglia at the pavilion, then, visitors can admire the Gardens of illusion show, an exhibition of small gardens, specially designed by landscape architects and artists, arranged like a gallery, in which twenty works are exhibited green to the public as “cadres”. The gardens are visible through openings such as windows on the think green is created, therefore, the effect of an art gallery in which alternate three-dimensional paintings. Each designer has available an empty cubic space to tell his idea of the garden as an artificial place, a work of art, a composition and you can do using prospective Games od’illusione.
Country Life will host finally, for the first time in Italy, a selection of miniature size really outstanding, in the order of the microscope. These are the dollshouse, small miniature houses where every detail is meticulously reproduced. These tiny creations, in 1:144 scale, do not measure more than 4 cm 3 in detail and yet contain all that is in the rooms of our houses, pots, cups, tablecloths, baskets, paintings and anything else that makes it lively and welcoming the domestic life.
