The group then appealed this decision. In a ruling issued October 29, the Court of Appeal of Paris said it was not enough evidence to decide in the light of European law on competition.

She decided to pursue the matter to determine whether “the absolute prohibition and sell products on internet contract to end users authorized retailers in a selective distribution network is actually a restriction of competition “.

Pending the opinion of the ECJ and the final decision of the appellate court, “internet sales of dermo-cosmetic products Laboratoires Pierre Fabre continues to be prohibited,” he said in a statement The group of Castres (Tarn).

Opposed to the sale on the internet as the distance marketing of its products, Pierre Fabre, known for brands like Avene, Ducray or Klorane says that this type of sale “can guarantee the personal advice of a qualified professional, promotes counterfeiting, and prevents a perfect traceability of products.
