Cosmetics: Estrosi announced simplified procedures for export

The government will simplify next year’s administrative procedures to facilitate exports of cosmetics, announced Friday, October 16, Marseille, Industry Minister Christian Estrosi.

“We dared to install a cosmetic center in the northern suburbs of Marseille,” shouted Mr. Estrosi.

“From January 1 next year, agencies that provide guarantees of know-how and expertise in the field of cosmetics (…) may issue certificates of free sale” (CVL), he continued. “All safeguards to preserve the quality of this certificate will be taken” and that “there will be no complacency CVL,” he said.

The Cosmed, national network of SMEs cosmetics born in Marseilles in 2000 and now has 500 members with about 15,000 jobs throughout France will be particularly empowered to issue certificates attesting that products comply with regulations European.

The France is the largest exporter in Europe with 4.5 billion of exports (on 11.7 billion).

Research and innovation are key, he said, adding that organic cosmetics could represent 30% of the market within two years against 1% five years ago.

The first SMEs located in the City of cosmetics, also head of Cosmed, emphasize innovation, as Capsum which has a partnership with Harvard Plants specializes in South African medicinal plants or ClemaScience who develops a “pomothérapie” based of apple polyphenols.

Caisse des depots, including the director of Romanet Augustine was present, supported the business center which represents an investment of ten million euros invested by the property group chaired by Resilience Gurvan Lemée and Xavier Giocanti, husband of the minister Economy Christine Lagarde.
