BESANCON, November 2, 2009 (AFP) – The Commercial Court of Paris will consider Friday, November 6 a complaint for infringement and breach of contract filed by the textile company World Tricot cons the prestigious house Chanel, it was learned Monday, November 2 from the two parties.
Based in Lure (Haute-SaĆ“ne) and specializes in luxury knitwear, the SME World Tricot was assigned Chanel in court in September 2005, for “counterfeiting and parasitism” and “wrongful breach of contract”.
Director of World Tricot, Carmen Colle said he recognized one of her tissue samples in the window of a shop Chanel in Tokyo in March 2005 and supports the luxury brand has “no reason”, and drastically reduced its commands from the end of 2004.

Chanel claims in the creation and rejected claims of infringement. “To run a sample hook on the basis of specific instructions provided by the Studio Building Chanel does not demand the creation of a model,” according to the house.
She “claims the creation of the sample mesh” and argues that World Tricot was already in trouble before his first collaboration with Chanel in 1999.
World Tricot, which employs 12 employees (cons 90 between 1999 and 2001), seeking millions of euros in damages.
In late January, the company previously in receivership, was granted by the Tribunal de Commerce de Vesoul an opinion favorable to the prosecution of its business over ten years.
The hearing is scheduled Friday at 14H00 at the Commercial Court of Paris.
